An article produced by the project partner Alfredo Soeiro (University of Porto), that briefly describes the outputs of the E3M project, has been recently published in the online newspaper The EvoLLLution. The University of Iceland hosted last 23-25 June 2011 the 24th Annual CHER Conference on research on HE focusing attention upon the issues facing HE in the 21st century. The E3M project took part of a panel session under the title: University Third Mission in Europe: experiences and research evidence from E3M project. The last 6th-8th October 2010 took place in Berlin the Conference “The Academic Rankings–From Popularity to Reliability and Relevance”. This conference was organized by the IREG observatory on Academic Rankings and Excellence and CHE-Centre for Educational Development.

Dr. Mike Murphy took part as a panel member at the conference session on the Measurement of Success in External Engagement Activities while Prof. José-Ginés Mora delivered a keynote address.
The aim of the EAIR Forum was to discuss and explore the current challenges to Higher Education and the potential answers to these challenges. The overarching theme of the Forum was the link between Higher Education and society. The E3M project has participated and contributed to this Forum held in Valencia the last 4th September with the oral presentation ’Creating a ranking methodology for measuring university third mission activities’.
